Writing Sample

This Research Paper was assigned to me during COMM 240 Communication Research Methods. We were tasked with coming up with a research question and deciding whether we would use Qualitative or Quantitative research to find our answers. My Research question ended up being "How have Concussion identification protocols, treatment methods, and emerging technologies evolved in football, and what impact have these changes had on concussion rates and the perspectives of coaches at the high school and college levels?"
I believe I did well on this assignment (although I have not received a grade for the paper at the time of writing this description) thanks to my in depth research, previous awareness on the topic, and insider knowledge and relationships with those in coaching positions at various levels of football. Although we weren't required to actually interview subjects for this research paper, me conducting interviews and learning their perspective(s) on this topic helped me put this paper over the top.
